America…”Whites Only” is Over…

CINCINNATI (AP) — A landlord found to have discriminated against a Black girl by posting a “White Only” sign at a swimming pool wants a state civil rights commission to reconsider its decision. The Ohio Civil Rights Commission found on Sept. 29 that Jamie Hein, who’s White, violated the Ohio Civil Rights Act by posting the sign at a pool at the duplex where the teenage girl was visiting her parents. The parents filed a discrimination charge with the commission and moved out of the duplex in the racially diverse city to “avoid subjecting their family to further humiliating treatment,” the commission said in a release announcing its finding.

I posted a portion of this article because as a result of reading yet another act of racism against an African-American, I first thought, that racism is not the mindset of the majority of Americans because I believe that the majority of Americans are proponents of diversity, and realize that this kind of repetitive propaganda has a destructive purpose. Words are powerful, and create thoughts that create emotions. When media pundits use negative words to name call and play the blame game, and ridicule a race of people over and over again it has the power to create a climate, and that is what I continue to be concerned about…the fallout.

There are men in the world that hate Israel, hate America, and hate Great Britain, and are bent on world domination, some of which live in America. World leaders are acquiring nuclear capability that they want to point in America’s direction. So what are we doing … (1) we’re buying guns in record numbers, (2) we’re reacting to divisive, racial propaganda, (3) we’re listening to political candidates, that have no viable vision for America, spin the same old rhetoric, (3) we’re increasing our lawlessness, and (4) we’re being duped, deceived, drugged, diseased, and discarded by those who should have been protecting our freedoms and rights, our jobs and health, our environment and food sources. So what do we do…?

I really think that we have to realize the racial divide is not the issue of world domination. “WHITES ONLY” is over, it distracts, “Christian” has become the new “Black.” World domination is a spiritual force and fight. While we fight and kill one another, there is an enemy encroaching upon America to do the same. While we’re feeling superior and privileged, there are mad men with nuclear forces feeling the same. While we’re still spending millions of consumer dollars on excess, somebody is pinching off our food and water supply. My point is that we have bigger problems. In my opinion, our country is on a course that many of us are totally unaware of.

Crisis in Wake County-Raleigh, North Carolina

On one level this story is refreshing and hopeful because I see black and white children and adults working together to combat re-segregation. Not only did they protest together but some were even arrested together. This reminded me of what has always happened in the Civil Rights Movement since slavery began. Black and white abolitionist always worked together resisting slavery. On a deeper level, in my opinion, there is a darker side. Ever since the 2008 presidential election of Barack Obama, an event that caught many whites and blacks by surprise, there as been a rise in overt racism. This kind of behavior can only polarize our country, increase tension between races, and incite fear of violence and personal harm. We are already vulnerable, but if we are engaged with in-house protests, who is going to watch the back door?

What Sparked The London Riots? Something Painfully Familiar.

The shooting death of a 29-year-old Black man named Mark Duggan last Thursday is the reason why various cities in London are under attack by angry protestors. His shooting at the hands of police while he was riding in a cab is when this story began. Operation Trident, which is a unit of the London Police Department that monitors the city’s Black neighborhoods, stopped the cab Duggan was in to arrest him and soon after, shots were fired. Duggan, who is a father of three, was fatally wounded and died. What happened next is what hasn’t ended to this day — continuous rioting. Various reports have an exchange of gunfire between police and Duggan that eventually ended in his death. Other reports have police shooting Duggan repeatedly in the head while he was face down execution style. Forensic and ballistic reports have yet to be released.  The protests began early Saturday morning when his family and over 100 protesters went to the Tottenham Police Department demanding answers. Two hours later, several youths began looting, rioting, and vandalizing public property in Tottenham.  The rioting has spread to other parts including Brixton and Enfield. [READ FULL STORY]

It is extremely possible that police officers shot this man while he was face down on the ground because an American police officer did the same thing in 2009 to Oscar Grant. Oscar was handcuffed and faced down on a subway platform.  It was also alleged that Oscar did not receive adequate treatment after the incident. And the white cop that shot Oscar, only got two-years in prison for this murder. Black men have experienced this kind of treatment all throughout America’s history, up to present day. Did you know that President Barack Obama receives 215 death threats a day, and that is more than any other president in American history. 

Racism, can only be perpetrated by those who are economically, politically, and socially dominant. It is the dominant class that can refuse to hire, refuse to rent property, refuse to loan money for businesses and homes, refuse to give urban children a quality education, and publicly call for the Murder of Black People without repercussions. Racists use name calling and anti-racial propaganda, and profiling etc., to demoralize their victims, fuel fear, hate and anger, while justifying the discrimination, oppression, segregation, and even murder to maintain positions of privilege, dominance and control. Racism in the end becomes the fault of the victim. Racism in a word, is WRONG and it cannot end well. Will America be the next place of Civil unrest like Egypt or Jordan, I sure pray that America will wake up. The last Civil War took more than half a million lives.

Black Student Sues White School Over Racist “Wigger Day”: Quera Pruitt, who attends Red Wing High School, claims that the school was indifferent to the harm this day did to their Black student base. “Wigger is a pejorative slang term for a white person who emulates the mannerisms, language and fashions associated with African-American culture,” the complaint states. “The students who participated in Wigger or Wangsta day wore clothes that, from their perspective, mimicked Black culture. These costumes included oversize sports jerseys, low-slung pants, baseball hats cocked to the side and ‘doo rags’ on their heads. Some of the students displayed gang signs. [SOURCE]

Shocking! Mississippi Hate Crime Killing Caught On Video: Video has been released of the killing of James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker, who was killed by a group of white men. One of the teens involved said “let’s go f**k with some n****,” before the incident began, according to police. [SOURCE]

It’s a Great Time to Be Racist: Racists have officially lost their minds. In recent weeks, the venom spewed at President Barack Obama would leave one to believe that we are in the midst of a racist renaissance. “A dick,” “jackass,” “tar baby, “your boy” — you name it and the president has been called it. For some reason, some people are so enraged by how this country is purportedly being run that they cannot separate a real critique of the president’s decisions from mean-spirited name-calling related to his race. Yes, the country that likes to pretend that it is far removed from its racist past has engaged in the verbal equivalent of a throwback jersey. Some people have reached far back into that Reconstruction-era closet, pulled out that dingy jersey adorned with racial slurs, shaken it out and put it on proudly. Elected officials have reduced themselves to behaving like petulant children, storming in and out of meetings and running to the media to lob personal attacks at the president, then offering lame apologies shortly afterward. This human being is calling for the MURDER OF BLACK PEOPLE. And then you hear stories about the murder of James C. Anderson who was recently beaten by a group of white males and then run over with a truck driven by John A. Rice. The only reason we know about this incident is because it was caught on tape.

John A. Rice, 18, was originally charged with the murder of James C. Anderson, but a judge in Hinds County, William Barnett, dropped the charges to simple assault. The case is headed this month for a grand jury, where prosecutors will argue that it was both a hate crime and a murder and that both men should be indicted. [SOURCE] John’s charge has been dropped to “simple assault,” after purposely driving his truck over a black man and killing him. These black women broke the law, but didn’t take any human life, and look at there sentence.

The Righteous Choice To Think America! pt2

I think there are hyper citizens, of the United States of America, that are responding first to the ethnicity of the President of the United States, that is their first outrage. The second outrage is that this Black Man made it into the oval office. If this “movement” is purely about health care than why are they using images of an African witch doctor, and talking about communism, and socialism and other words like secession.  This is clearly not about health care at all. This rhetoric sounds like a group of white people who are fearful of retrobution by the descendants of former slaves.

I will be honest with you. All of this has me very concerned.  What this man had to say about our president is disturbing. Where are we headed as a democratic nation of people? If segments of our society incite fear along racial lines, while toting guns and calling for the death of our president; then we are setting this nation up to implode. We are now surrounded by countries that are nuclear capable, that hate America, and can infiltrate our borders and breach our securities at anytime apparently, and cause catastrophic devastation on our soil. We are now in a vulnerable situation with our economic recession, and inward turmoil will only make us easy prey for those who want to destroy this country. I read, that to overtake a strong man, you must first bind that strong man, and then spoil his goods. We are in tremendous debt, we have outsourced so many of our jobs, our unemployment rate is at an all time high, we have millions without health care, not to mention the increased need to feed our hungry and house our homeless. I simply feel that hysterics is not the way to go.  We need to carefully assess the language of that health care plan, because taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for abortions, or any other agenda that might be hidden in the fine print. I am of the belief that if objections  like that are not clearly articulated in the plan than tax dollars will fund abortions as a “ necessary” procedure. I don’t want the government making to many decisions about our lives either. But we don’t want to voluntarily make health care affordable. Those who want to make a lot of  money and live the ultra rich lifestyle, should, but not to hurt and demise of others. Perhaps all of ” Corporate America” needs to take the hippocratic oath.

The Righteous Choice to THINK AMERICA!

I am not politically savvy at all, but I do listen to and watch what politicians say and do. So, as I think about the past and present scandals that are embedded in our political history, I realize that I must become much more involved in the process. Our politicians have been caught in sex scandals, bribery stings, misappropriation of funds. Our government, in the past,  has been accused of assassination plots, cover-ups, the murder and torture of the guilty, and innocent. And law abiding citizens of our country cannot forget that. Politicians, at best, leave a bad taste in my mouth. Generally speaking, I don’t believe that our political and business sectors really care about our country.  There are too many self-centered and self-rewarding decisions being made, and there is far too much corruption in our political system.

Nevertheless, in contrast, Obama, is a man whose life has been nurtured for compassionate service.  He wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he knows first hand what it means to be poor, and without health care, to be middle class, and a minority. I truly believe, that he cares about the American Citizen.  But, I am still watching him closely, because he is after all, a politician. When elected, he immediately began to assemble his skilled, multiracial cabinet, and other multiracial appointees-Sonia Sotomayor. He and his cabinet are working to correct the causes of our financial collapse, He wants health care for all Americans, and I don’t understand why certain members of our governing bodies want to fight against corrective measures, unless of course, money is at the root of this evil. We need to THINK  AMERICA, concretely and objectively, not emotionally. We need people in office who care about the well-being of Americans, and who can be trusted with the task of performing their office. And the only way that we will know that a politician is trustworthy, is by his or her character and actions.

Sarah Palin’s actions are questionable, in my opinion,  she is a politician’s politician. She knows how to capitalize on her looks,  the right catch phrases, her children, and the emotions of the American people.  I don’t feel good about her leaving Alaska amid rumors of scandal. I don’t feel good about her divisive manner. I just don’t see what good can come from a Sarah Palin.

Obama has been in office now for more than 200 days, and I believe he is making decisions based on what is in his heart, what he heard from average Joe Americans, and the advice of his advisers. I don’t think it is wise for Americans to ever be divisive again.  Not only that, but he is doing his job in the face of increased death threats. Remember we rise and fall together as a Nation.
