#2 – California Gov. Jerry Brown legalizes 12-year-old children to give “consent” to deadly vaccines.

In a particularly insidious Big Brother power grab that cut parents out of the loop when it comes to injecting children with vaccines, Gov. Jerry Brown cemented his place in history as one of the most irrational, whored-out Big Pharma needle-slingers ever observed.

#3 – Detroit SWAT team threatens Maryanne Godboldo while state steals her child, then rapes her.

Detroit mom Maryanne Godboldo had a hellish year in 2011, first with the state demanding to kidnap her daughter because Maryanne refused to keep drugging her with psychiatric drugs. When the cops came to forcibly kidnap her daughter at gunpoint, Maryanne said no (no means no, doesn’t it?), so the cops brought in the SWAT team for a 12-hour standoff. Maryanne was charged with multiple felony counts and her teenage daughter was taken away, where she was raped by state employees and infected with a sexually-transmitted disease. This is called “juvenile caregiving” in Detroit.

#4 – FDA tries to outlaw virtually all dietary supplements with new NDI regulations

2011 was the year the FDA unleashed its “nuclear option” against dietary supplements, attempting to outlaw virtually all such products by requiring supplement companies to seek “approval” for each ingredient they use in every formulated product they offer. If they use vitamin C in 10 products, for example, they would have to apply to the FDA for vitamin C approval ten times. Each application would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in research and effort, and the FDA could simply reject them all without any reason whatsoever.

In one of the most moronic anti health freedom stories of the year, the European Union ruled against the laws of nature and declared that water cannot prevent or treat dehydration. This decision was widely ridiculed across the internet, and it made the EU look even more ridiculous than anyone thought possible. (The average IQ of a bureaucrat in Brussels, it seems, is roughly equal to the winter temperature there. In Celsius!)

Led by activists like Ronnie Cummins (Organic Consumers Association) and Jeffrey Smith (Institute for Responsible Technology), this effort will be viciously attacked in 2012 by food companies who are scrambling to keep American consumers totally ignorant about the GMO content of their foods.

They don’t want people to know the truth about GMOs, you see, so they claim GMO labeling would “confuse” consumers. Actually, it would enlighten them! And it would force food companies to stop buying GMOs altogether, thereby ending the demand for GMOs and causing farmers to plant non-GMO crops. Dr. Oz Was Right, The FDA Lied, and Americans Lose!

The federal Food and Drug Administration and a leading doctor are disputing suggestions by television show host Dr. Mehmet Oz that trace amounts of arsenic in many apple juice products pose a health concern.

Oz said on his show Wednesday that testing by a New Jersey lab has found what he implied are troubling levels of arsenic in many juices.

However, the FDA says the lab methods were not appropriate and that its own tests show much lower arsenic levels. The agency warned “The Dr. Oz. Show” producers in advance that their testing was misleading.

Dr. Richard Besser, a pediatrician and former acting head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also scolded Oz Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America” show for scaring consumers with what Besser called an “extremely irresponsible” report, like “yelling ‘Fire!’ in a movie theater.”

The issue: arsenic is naturally present in water, air, food, and soil in organic and inorganic forms, according to the FDA.

“Organic arsenic is essentially harmless,” the agency says, and it passes through the body quickly. Inorganic arsenic is the type found in pesticides, and consuming it at high levels or over a long period can cause concern.

The testing “The Dr. Oz Show” did was for total arsenic, and the FDA even disputes those levels. The agency’s own tests found lower total arsenic from one of the same juice batches the show’s lab tested.

“There is no evidence of any public health risk from drinking these juices. And FDA has been testing them for years,” the statement says.

Consumer Reports finds high arsenic levels in juice: Was Dr. Oz right?

(CBS) Is juice dangerous? A new study from Consumer Reports suggests some popular juices contain high levels of arsenic and lead.

Amid public concern over contaminated juice, the magazine announced Wednesday that it had tested 88 juice samples, and found roughly 10 percent of samples – mostly from five brands – had arsenic levels above the federal bottled water standard of 10 parts per billion (ppb).

Arsenic levels in apple juices ranged up to 13.9 ppb. Grape-juice levels were even higher, up to 24.7 ppb. Most of the arsenic was inorganic, a form that has been linked to cancer.

“People sometimes say, ‘If arsenic exposure is so bad, why don’t you see more people sick or dying from it?,’” Dr. Joshua Hamilton, a toxicologist and chief academic and scientific officer at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Mass., told Consumer Reports. “But the many diseases likely to be increased by exposure even at relatively low levels are so common already that its effects are overlooked simply because no one has looked carefully for the connection.”

Arsenic wasn’t the only contaminant found in juice. Twenty-five percent of samples contained lead at levels above 5 ppb, the FDA limit for bottled water. There is no arsenic or lead standard in juice, prompting the magazine to call on the FDA to consider implementing standards for juice since kids drink a lot of juice. According to Consumer Reports, a recent poll shows 35 percent of children 5 and younger exceed pediatrician’s recommendations by drinking more than six ounces of juice per day – the size of a juice box.  [Read More of the Story]
