Whitney Houston’s Spiritual Battle Is Won!

I wanted to post this because I’ve been so curious about the unfolding events leading up to Whitney’s death. I wanted to know what she went through, and as I continued to search the web, I found out more and more information. I don’t know what your spiritual belief system is, but I do believe in the powerful LOVE of God, and I do believe that the Lord Jesus, by His infinite wisdom rescued His child and  took her home. You know, in spite human beings who can be so critical, and judgmental of one another, there is a God that looks beyond our faults and sees our needs and comes to rescue us when we cry out for help. Rest In Heaven Whitney! To God be all the Glory!

[CBNNews]Houston was introduced to the music world in 1985 — America’s sweetheart with the voice of an angel.

She quickly rose to the top, selling more than 170 million records worldwide. She became the only artist with seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard hits.

But with great fame came a great fall. Slowly the world watched an image of grace, poise and beauty become tattered by a powerful addiction to drugs and alcohol.

A Woman of Faith

But according to Houston’s spiritual mother, gospel music legend Shirley Caesar, there was another side of the songstress much of the world failed to see — a woman who loved and desired God in her life.

“We’ve lost an icon,” Caesar said. “We’ve lost a precious jewel, from my own knowledge, to the body of Christ.”

Houston looked up to Caesar, often calling her “Mama Shirley.”

“I was honored, yet I wanted her life totally whole,” Caesar told CBN News.

While many will remember Houston for her secular music, she had several gospel hits.

In the 1996 movie “The Preacher’s Wife,” she stood alongside Denzel Washington to tell a story of inspiration and redemption through God — singing songs like “I Love the Lord” and “He’s All Over Me.”

“This girl knew that Jesus loved her. She had such an anointing, if you will, in her voice,” Caesar recalled.

Years of drug and alcohol abuse greatly affected Houston. Her voice shaken and her soul struggling, many thought she was finished. But Caesar says despite Houston’s struggles, she sought deliverance.

“She was looking for somebody that had the power of God resting in their lives,” Caesar explained.

In her final days, friends claim Houston had a premonition about her death; that she “felt like her time was coming” and “really wanted to see Jesus.” Two days before her death, Houston sang “Jesus Loves Me” at a night club in Los Angeles. It would be her last song to the world.

Gospel artist Kim Burrell had planned to see Houston the night she died.

“She was in great spirits.  She was singing. She had gospel music playing when she left the message. So it sounded like typical, happy Whitney ready to see me,” Burrell told CNN. “I just hate we didn’t get a chance to do that. I was on my way to her and I ended up going to the hotel, but it was just a little too late.”

Caesar says just a few months ago, Houston visited Burrell’s church and left filled with the Spirit of God.

“She went to the church and Kim said the power of God fell on Whitney Houston so till she ran all around the church,” Caesar said.

“Then she fell out in the floor and just began to speak in tongues,” an emotional Caesar added. “She just began to speak in tongues for about 30 minutes laying there praising the Lord.”

While questions surround Houston’s cause of death, many also question her Christian conviction.

Caesar believes the woman who affectionately called her “mama” was involved in a powerful spiritual battle.

In the end, it may seem that life in the fast lane overtook Houston, and that she never got the deliverance she so desired. But Caesar sees it differently.

“A lot of times it come in a slow process,” Caesar explained. “That’s what winning is all about. It’s not to those who can run the fastest, just take your time and win. And Whitney Houston was a winner.”  [SOURCE]

Was Whitney Preparing To See Jesus?

TheUrbanDaily.com

Whitney Houston told friends she “really wanted to see Jesus” in the days before her death … and claimed she had a feeling the end was near for her … this according to several of Whitney’s friends.

TMZ has learned … Whitney had been very spiritual in her final days … quoting the bible, singing hymns and engaging in intense conversations about Jesus Christ and the afterlife with her close friends and family members.
We’re told …. on Friday , one day after she performed, “Yes Jesus Loves Me” at Tru nightclub in Hollywood, Whitney told one of her friends, “I’m gonna go see Jesus … I want to see Jesus.”

The next morning, hours before her death, Whitney was discussing a bible passage involving John the Baptist and Jesus … when Houston flashed a big smile and remarked, “You know, he’s so cool … I really want to see that Jesus.”

Another source tells us … Whitney had been telling friends she “felt like her time was coming” … and wanted to make sure she spent her time praising her lord and savior whenever she could.

Unfortunately, Whitney’s premonition came true. [TMZ]

This is so curious to me, and I understand when a family member is in distress, it can be hard to just take their lives over, and do what is right for them because it is believed that the loved one is not in sound mind. I am not trying to judge them, just learn from these unfolding of events. I noticed in other reporting that Whitney went to a couple of doctor’s days before her death. She had been talking about her time coming to see Jesus, and on the day of her death, she had alcohol and prescription drugs in her room. Her premonition makes me feel like she did know something ahead of time. However, was there any family member on high alert as a result, was Whitney left alone because she seemed alert and in full possession of her faculties? Could her last day have been avoided? Her former bodyguard said he would never allow her to take a bath, only showers. Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, spoke with her daughter 25-30 minutes before she died and nothing seemed unusual. I am really curious to find out what the cause of death is, was this an accident?

We’re told the bible passages Whitney was quoting on the morning of her death were Matthew 3:13 through 17 … referencing the baptism of Jesus. The passage goes:

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Whitney Houston’s Death Caused By Overdose

(NaturalNews) Yesterday NaturalNews reported that Whitney Houston was likely the latest victim of the pharmaceutical industry and its deadly, toxic prescription drugs. Her body was found near her medications, which included Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a sleeping medication (http://www.naturalnews.com

It has now been revealed by TMZ that L.A. County Coroner’s officials told Houston’s family that she died from a toxic combination of prescription drugs and alcohol. Importantly, there was not enough water in her lungs to have drowned her, meaning she died from the drugs and then sank into the tub.

“The singer did not die from drowning, but rather from what appears to be a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol … this according to family sources,” reports TMZ (http://www.tmz.com/2012/02/13/whitney-houston-cause-of-death-prescrip…).

The family was also told that Whitney died “before her head became submerged.”

Whitney Houston showed clear signs of pharmaceutical adverse effects

“[Houston,] who struggled with drug and alcohol abuse in her later life, made a bizarre appearance just two evenings before,” reports US Magazine (http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/whitney-houston-shaky-e…)

At a pre-Grammys party at Tru Hollywood Thursday evening, the beloved Grammy-winning singer seemed “wasted” and “moody” as she exited the club past midnight, according to a witness. “She reacted angrily to the security guards trying to get her into her car…and started cussing them out.”

Although the superstar smiled when fans approached her for autographs, “she would get moody again in a split second,” the observer says. “It was sad because her fans noticed that she was really shaky as she left the venue. She definitely was not in control of herself.”

This is the behavior of a person who is using either prescription psychiatric drugs or recreational drugs (or perhaps both in combination). That this was observed with Houston on multiple occasions is very strong evidence that these drugs were altering her brain function and thereby radically altering her personality and behavior.

Remember: for every celebrity death caused by prescription drugs, there are hundreds of thousands of deaths of everyday people from prescription drugs, too. In fact, according to published scientific statistics:

Prescription drugs kill over 200,000 Americans every year– even when taken as directed and not abused! (http://www.ourcivilisation.com/medicine/usamed.htm)

The cause of death and where she died were not immediately known.

According to her official website, Houston sold more than 170 million albums, singles and videos over her career.

Houston was set to appear in this year’s “Sparkle,” a remake of the 1976 hit, which was loosely based on the story of The Supremes. It was her first movie role since 1996′s “The Preacher’s Wife.”

Her body of work includes seven straight Billboard No. 1 hits in the 1980s, including “Saving All My Love for You,” “Greatest Love of All” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go.” Billboard puts her soundtrack to the movie “The Bodyguard” as one of the top 10 biggest-selling albums of all time.

The daughter of singer Cissy Houston, Whitney was born on August 9, 1963, in Newark, New Jersey. Famed music producer Clive Davis reportedly spotted Houston 20 years later in a New York nightclub, signing her on the spot, according to her website.
